Taste of Town Center 5K Race pays tribute to military veterans of the Hampton Roads area in partnership with the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. In addition, the Town Center Kiwanis Club raises tens of thousands of dollars for local children’s charities such as CHKD, Special Olympics, Seton Youth Shelters, and many more. Every Veteran’s Day week, hundreds of runners participate in our 5K Race. Additionally, kids 6 years and younger participate in our 100 – yard Tot Trot. The crown jewel of the event is the Taste of Town Center following the race. Many of the Town Center area restaurants provide samples of their excellent cuisine to the race participants and their families.

We love making new friends during our events so come on out and volunteer! Our Kiwanians are super friendly and appreciative. When you think of all the local charities you will be supporting, you can see this is a great way to spend a few hours! And…you eat free at the Taste on Saturday during the main event!
